Cabot's Ready Bucket

Redefining the deck care user experience

As the leading deck care brand in Australia, Cabot's are always striving for innovation. For summer 2020 they launched a unique new product that fuses the functionality of the existing Deckhand bucket with the convenience of a pre-filled pail.

 

The challenge of designing packaging that could perform both functions required specialist structural design capability with both product and packaging experience. Working with our production partners NCI Packaging, we designed and developed the Cabot's Ready Bucket.

 

The Cabot’s Ready Bucket holds decking oil securely — from filling, through the supply chain, into store and at home during application. Structurally, a tamper-evident integrated seal keeps the product from leaking during transport, while an internal pad-off platform accommodates applicators and rollers. Our solution adds value and reduces complexity at every stage of the consumer experience.

Birdstone worked closely with our packaging suppliers whilst keeping the consumer at the heart of the design. This ensured the Cabot’s Ready Bucket was efficient to manufacture, cost effective to buy and provided a great customer experience.
