Reinvigorating a much-loved gourmet product range
Marisa’s Kitchen have been known in the gourmet market as the ‘green dips’ for almost 20 years. Birdstone were asked to revamp their dated brandmark and help them launch a new look across their product family of dips, soups and sauces that would stand out in the retail environment.
We updated the brandmark to a simple single-colour execution, further strengthening the brands colour equity. This is amplified by a refreshed pack architecture which improves blocking on shelf and flavour identification from all retail orientations.
To complete the transformation, packaging formats were re-specified to utilise the latest in manufacturing capabilities. We worked hard to simplify production while maximising the impact of the redesign through colour strategy. Our understanding of print production allowed us to reduce the printing plates required, reducing the cost of manufacturing.
The refresh has led to an increase in sales and new channel opportunities for the Marisa’s brand both locally and interstate.
Our handmade soup pouch redesign has had nothing but positive reactions from retailers, distributors, wholesalers and customers.
